ILTS in
South America Join the ILTS in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for the 13th Annual International Congress to interact, network, compare, and discuss liver transplantation procedures and therapy.

About the Congress

The goal of this Congress is to broaden the education of scientists, surgeons, anesthesiologists, physicians, nurses, and organ procurement personnel in the care and treatment of liver transplant patients. The ILTS is proud to offer an opportunity to Liver Specialists from across the globe to gather and discuss anesthesia and critical care medicine, surgical techniques, and new modalities of treatment for viral and recurrent disease in liver transplantation.

Location

The Sheraton Rio Hotel & Towers in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, will host this year's Congress. The Sheraton enjoys an enviable reputation in Rio de Janeiro as the only beachfront property with the largest leisure area and recreational facilities. The hotel is located in an oasis of lush tropical vegetation, above a sandy beach lapped by the azure waters of the Atlantic Ocean and flanked, on the other side, by mountain scenery.

New to the Congress

Unique to this year's Congress "Cases from the Real World”. Selected submitted abstracts will be presented pertaining to situations that could be encountered by anyone caring for liver transplant patients. Topics on Anesthesiology/Critical Care Medicine and Pathology/Recurrent Disease will be addressed. These sessions are designed to encourage audience interaction and participation.

Safety Tips

We want you to be aware of the important safety precautions we have put in place for conference attendees. The ILTS has arranged for greeters to welcome attendees upon arrival at the Tom Jobim International Airport in Rio de Janeiro, which was one of the first cities to establish special "Tourist Police" teams. These officers can be found on beaches and areas most frequented by tourists.
