About the ILTS
Welcome to ILTS
The International Liver Transplantation Society (ILTS) is a truly international society serving all clinical and scientific disciplines related to liver transplantation.
ILTS assumes the mission “to promote and disseminate multidisciplinary scientific advances in liver transplantation worldwide”.
Over the years the influence of this society has been gradually expanded throughout the world. The growing ability of our Annual Conferences to attract participants from around the world has proved to be objectively valuable and to have an impact on scientific understanding. Furthermore, the concept for additional monothematic meetings, which have taken place in various countries (China, India, Turkey, etc.), has allowed active participation of emerging regions, thereby increasing the opportunity for mutual understanding and sharing of experiences around the world.
The creation and progressive increase in the number of awards and scholarships has helped a goodly number of young people to achieve recognition for their work and to complete their education at the most prestigious schools. At present, the society's journal “Liver Transplantation” is recognized by the scientific community in terms of its scientific value. Our objective in developing this website is for it to serve as a hub for international exchange and a platform for multidisciplinary collaboration to disseminate the best practices in clinical care and to promote educational and scientific networking.
I would like to encourage practitioners from all over the world, to join the ILTS. As we look towards the future, the revolutionary development and success of liver transplantation in the last two decades allows us to be optimistic. To be decisive we need to bring about the active participation of the largest possible number of transplant programs in all the world. Their involvement with ILTS, through their membership will undoubtedly increase the opportunities for mutual understanding and development. Welcome to ILTS.
