Who Should Attend
The 2010 International Congress of ILTS is the leading educational Congress for scientists, surgeons, anesthesiologists, physicians, nurses, and organ procurement personnel in the field of liver transplantation from around the world. The Congress is designed to allow the liver transplantation specialist to interact and network with individuals from various parts of the globe and to compare and understand the differences in procedures and therapy in the treatment of liver transplantation.
Physicians
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint sponsorship of the Institute for the Advancement of Human Behavior (IAHB) and the International Liver Transplantation Society (ILTS). The IAHB is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
AMA PRA Statement
The IAHB designates this educational activity for a maximum of 21.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Goals and Objectives
- To promote the interest and encourage best practices among young members and to recognize and reward talented young investigators.
- To understand the success and problems of liver transplantation in Asia.
- To review the latest development in innovative measures to increase application of liver transplantation around the world and protect the living liver donor.
- To highlight the current state of the art management in preventing recurrent disease and in ensuring long-term survival.
- To enhance the dialogue between clinicians and scientists on basic science research topics with potential clinical application such as stem cells, microRNA, ischemic-reperfusion injury and cancer recurrence.
- To provide a scientific and educational update for specific specialties.
